Mental Health.

Mental health is just as important and physical health which is the message we are spreading across Solihull borough through our current Anti-Stigma project.

Since June 2016, Urban Heard has worked to get young people talking about mental health positively and actively through our successful workshop which tackles the subject of stigma, stereotyping, emotional resilience and mindfulness, as well as showing signs and symptoms of the most common mental health disorders that young people are diagnosed with.

Commissioned by Solihull MBC for a 4 staged project:

  • Consultation with Solihull Young People

  • Workshops in secondary schools and youth settings

  • Recruit and employ local young people as Peer Project Managers

  • Community engagement lead by the Peer Project Managers
